Our founder, Dr. Will Basuki, is the first and only registered veterinary dental specialist in Queensland to have completed formal, full-time specialist training in the United States.
We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care using gold-standard equipment and techniques, while maintaining transparent and respectful communication with both pet owners and referring veterinarians.

The Founder

Registered Specialist
Dr. Will Basuki graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2010. She began her journey as a small animal veterinarian, followed by rotating and surgery internships in Brisbane, Australia before commencing her specialist training and Master's degree scholarship in 2014 at Colorado State University, USA.
In 2018, she started a dentistry specialty service at Tufts University, USA and became an Adjunct Associate Professor. She returned to Australia in 2020 to become the first registered dental specialist in Queensland, and pioneered specialty dentistry at a veterinary specialist hospital in Brisbane.
In 2024, she founded Sabertooth Vet Dental Specialist to continue offering her clinical expertise and services to local and interstate primary veterinarians, clients, and patients.
Dr. Will Basuki is a well-known conference speaker and clinical educator both domestically and internationally. She also holds an Adjunct Lecturer position at the University of Queensland.
She owns two cats (Felix & Sabertooth) and used to own two hamsters (Truffle & Oyster) in the USA.
Team Members
Robyn brings over 25 years of experience in the veterinary industry, with a strong background across specialist hospitals in Brisbane. Her diverse roles have included inventory management, hospital administration, dermatology technician, emergency care, and general team support.
Having first worked with Dr Will during her intern days over a decade ago, Robyn is delighted to reunite and join the Sabertooth team, where she looks forward to supporting the dentistry service and delivering personalized care.
At home, Robyn and her family share two mischievous sister cats, Willow and Spider — “foster fails” from the COVID period. While they may be a little on the fussy side, they more than make up for it with their charm and antics.

Michael graduated from University of Queensland with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology in 2021, and spent the first two years of his career working in general practice before transitioning to veterinary dentistry to work with Dr. Will in early 2024.
His passion for dentistry was sparked after attending a workshop early in his career, and in particular after learning the art of dental radiography. His other clinical areas of interest include being involved in more advanced anaesthesia, expanding upon his knowledge of pharmacology and surgical techniques, and stress-free handling in patients (including creating a stress-free situation for pet parents!).

Veterinary Technician
Selena brings over a decade of experience to her role as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, having earned her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2013. She began her career primarily as an emergency vet nurse at general practices and specialist centres. With a growing passion for feline medicine, Selena completed a Certificate in Feline Nursing in 2020.
Selena started working as a dedicated veterinary dental nurse with Dr Will since 2021 at a veterinary specialist hospital while obtaining her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (Dentistry) in 2022. She started her journey to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Dentistry through the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians in 2025.
In her spare time, Selena can be found bushwalking with her dog, Lightning, or volunteering for Lifeline.
